Silence Cover Revealed!

Ahhhh! Finally

I can't wait for October 4th!
Oh and here's an excerpt:

He closed the distance between us, and just when I thought he'd drawn me against him, he stopped, holding himself in check. I exhaled, trying not to cry. He leaned his elbow on the doorjamb, just above my ear. He smelled so devastatingly familiar, soap and spice, the heady scent bringing back a rush of memories so pleasurable, it only made the current moment that much more difficult to bear. I was seized by the desire to touch him. To trace my hands over his skin, to feel his arms tighten securely around me. I wanted him to nuzzle my neck, his whisper to tickle my ear as he said private words that belonged only to me. I wanted him near, so near, with no thought of letting go."This isn't over," I said. "After everything we've been through, you don't get the right to brush me off. I'm not letting you off that easily." I wasn't sure if it was a threat, my last stab at defiance, or irrational words spoken straight from my splintered heart.
"I want to protect you," Patch said quietly.
He stood so close. All strength and heat and silent power. I couldn't escape him, now or ever. He'd always be there, consuming my every thought, my heart locked in his hands; I was drawn to him by forces I couldn't control, let alone escape.
"But you didn't."
EEEP! How exciting

Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins

Demonglass (Hex Hall, #2)
Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins

Release Date: March 1, 2011
Publisher: Hyperion Books CH
Age Group: Young Adult
Pages: 359
Source: Library
Buy the Book: Amazon

Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch. That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth. Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers. But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?
A great second installment to the Hex Hall series. This book will make you laugh with Sophie's quips and sarcasm, make you swoon with it's delicious boys and  finish it in record time because you just can't take the suspense.

We get to learn a lot more about Sophie's dad in Demonglass. He's very much like Sophie in someways and even though he hadn't met Sophie for most of her life, I think he makes a great dad. Although he's the reason Sophie went out to England, he does not have a big roll in the events that unfold. Demonglass was definitely not as simplistic as Hex Hall. We have more mysterious and a possible love triangle forming?

For those Archer fans, we do get to see more of him in the book, but new teams might be forming with Cal in the picture; who we find out is betrothed to Sophie. I don't want to give much away but if you enjoyed the first book, you will love the second one even more.

But what a cliff hanger! I can't believe I have to wait a year for the next one. Where's Jenna!?

It's been three years since the devastating accident ... three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever. Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Julliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other.
Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I StayWhere She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

My head hurts. My heart hurts. What an emotional roller coaster! I LOVED IT. I don't really think my review will do the book justice, but I have to try and get out how great this book is.

I thought If I Stay was a fantastic novel but Where she Went is phenomenal. Once in a while a story really touches me and stays with me for a while and this is definitely it. This book was so well written, I myself was feeling depressed at times because I felt as if it was happening to me.

I really loved Adam in the first book, so I was ecstatic when I saw this book was in his point of view. Throughout most of the book, Adam is numb and grieving, but that's more of an understatement.  My heart when out for him.  Gayle does a wonderful job of getting to the reader's feelings, she has a way of  relating to almost all readers. I love it.

This story is so beautiful and heartwarming! I just can't stop gushing about it. You have to read it it you haven't. It will make you cry, laugh and even just sigh, but you won't regret reading it. I have to get myself my own copy of this book as well because I for sure am going to want to reread it.

One of my favorite novels. Ever!

This weekend's question/topic:
"If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?"

Absolutely! I figure if I really enjoyed a book by that author, their writing style will carry on to the their other books, which will lead me to liking them as well.

Top 10 Favorite Series

I love stand alone novel just fine. But my favorite types of books to read are series. The story doesn't have to end so quickly, and it gives us more time to become acquainted with the characters and world. This is my list of favorite series.
